It’s been a few months since I last posted a message on the Living The Wish blog ~ it feels great to be back on line after having a break. I feel refreshed and ready to go, keen to share some amazing new ideas and insights from my time away.
So why the absence for so many months? Well, The Wish team and I have been busy behind the scenes travelling and working on lots of new Wish projects.
While September traditionally marks the start of a new season (and for those of us in the southern hemisphere the start of spring!) for me, it’s been a month full of lessons about endings rather than beginnings. The Universe has seen fit to challenge me about my understanding of the concept of ‘completion’ and the deeper meaning to the simple truth: For every ending there is a new beginning.
It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since the terrible tragedy of the 9/11 attacks on the US. I can distinctly remember where I was that day. I was running late for work and as I rushed to eat my breakfast I caught the news headlines. Suddenly, making the train became utterly irrelevant. I spent the rest of the day in front of the TV, unable to comprehend the unfolding of these terrible life changing events.
In the past two weeks I have had many people comment that August has felt like an unusual month. For some it was a time to relax and unwind, and to ponder the ‘dilemma’ of having nothing to do! For some it was time to brave ferocious storms and flooding rains; for some a time to hit rock bottom facing financial and emotional crisis; and even for some a time to break a leg
For the past ten days, I have been in the most beautiful of spaces. Words can’t describe it. I guess that’s the magic of truly being in the heart. You get to experience a love beyond words or thoughts. You made me feel like that. When you wished to live from your heart on 08.08, you created that Love.
I want to send out a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has jumped on board to support the initiation of Global Wish scheduled to take place on 08.08 from 12 noon to 2pm (local times). When Maria and I were given our ‘instructions’ to run this event, we knew it was important and that the energy of our message would attract the attention of kindred spirits across the globe.
I received some heartfelt cries for help this week. It seems for many of us, the concept of ‘letting go’ is a relatively easy one to get in our heads, but a much harder one to get in our hearts.
The fear seems to be that if we let go, we can never go back! And if we don’t know what lies ahead, we hang on to what we think we know, because better the devil you know than the devil you don’t.
