Living in the Now
When I was packing up for my trip to the US this week, I was reflecting on the steps I had taken to reach this single point in my life. While it seemed like such a simple thing to be jumping on that plane, I knew in my heart, it had me taken a lot of work! So much clearing of my old stuff, so many big breakthroughs and ‘aha’ moments. What I also realised was how quick I was to dismiss this moment of achievement. How often do we do that in our lives and move on to our next goal or life crisis?
For so much of our lives, we spend our time focused on what happened in the past or what we hope will transpire in the future. Very seldom do we take the time to really live in the now, to soak up our experience in this moment and to truly enjoy our lives.
After months of wishing, I am on the ‘after’ side of one of my wishes coming true! Coming to America with The Wish has been on my agenda for the past two years. So now that I am ‘here’ (and yes I appreciate the irony!) I’m relishing every moment. Today I strolled up and down Rodeo Drive looking in the beautiful shop windows and was bold enough to go in and try on some clothes and jewellery. It was so much fun! I ate a blueberry bagel and drank bad American coffee and played a game of The Wish with some out of work actors in Hollywood, wishing for their big break...
This month, I hope to share with you, many blissful moments of me living in the now, as I travel around the US sharing The Wish and its philosophy with some new fans.
When I teach The Wish, I like to remind people that they can change their lives in a heartbeat. It only takes a single moment to change your mind and to live in the now. You don’t have to wait until your wish has come true to enjoy the moment you are in. In fact, you may just find the more you enjoy each and every day of your life, the easiest it will become to manifest your wishes and to live your happiest life ...
