The Art of Appreciation

Many people have commented on how incredibly happy I looked when I came home from my trip to the US and London this month. I guess it wasn’t hard to pick up on my super happy vibe given that I was gushing to everyone about what a sensational time I had when I was on tour with The Wish®.
I travelled to new parts of my world, met hundreds of kindred spirits, shared many a tear, a laugh and a hug and witnessed life enhancing, heartfelt connections between men and women who until that day, had been complete strangers in each others’ lives. I explored new neighbourhoods, I drank cosmopolitans with girlfriends in New York, I rode a Harley for the first time (thanks Jess!), I listened to music, I saw beautiful art, I ate great food and I shared lots of amazing conversations that have helped shape me. In all honesty, I count last month as being one of the happiest times in my whole life.

As usual, that realisation made me ponder my state of bliss and question why it is that sometimes we can feel like we are in absolute seventh heaven and at other times, we can struggle for days, even weeks on end, to remember what it feels like to be happy.I realised that like many of us new age thinkers, I have too often focused my attention on sorting out my issues, without also taking the time to appreciate all the great things in my life and most importantly, to appreciate ‘me’. Right here, right now.
Last month was so powerfully different, because I chose to appreciate every moment.
Happiness is a choice, and it’s your choice. Only you can decide.
Every little bit counts. I learnt the more I practised being happy, the stronger the feeling grew in me. Some days I felt I could burst. Everything was flowing.
When we practise being happy, we raise our vibration. And when we are in this expansive state, we are the most powerful creators.
Start now, doing some of those small, simple things that you know make you happy. Visit your favourite coffee shop, explore a new bookstore, take a yoga class, enjoy a massage, go for a run, listen to uplifting music…
Like any emotion, happiness has its own ‘energy stream’, its own frequency, its own vibration. Just like listening to your favourite radio station, we need to tune into the right channel. Choose to dial into ‘Happiness FM’.
By deliberately choosing to focus on the positive and appreciating the good things in your life, you begin to create your own happiness.
I appreciate all our US and UK Wish fans that came to see us and share their stories. Your enthusiasm and support helped create some exciting new opportunities.
I look forward to sharing them with you in the weeks and months ahead.
Best Wishes
Louise + The Wish® Team
