It’s February, we’re leading up to valentine’s day and not surprisingly, I felt compelled to write something about love this month. 

For a lot of my life I have been single for long periods of time, and like a lot of people I know, I always wanted to pretend that Valentine’s Day wasn’t important to me, that it was no big deal  – an outdated, clichéd concept that didn’t apply to my life.  I wanted to fly under the radar, to pretend it didn’t have any impact on me, that it was just any other day like any other in the year.
